have a laugh

Anna says many words very clear, but sometimes just the way she pronounces another will leave us laughing every time.  She has a very unique way of saying necklace.

I thought it quite funny watching Anna try to sit on the small dollhouse sized furniture.  She was a very determined little girl, but it just wasn't going to happen without a few broken pieces.

We have plenty to praise God for; laughter.

pumpkin pickin'

We were all able to go with Maria's preschool class to the pumpkin patch today.  Besides taking a hay ride out to the patch to get her pumpkin, she was able to do a straw maze, play in the corn box, take a train ride, and go down a tube slide.  Maria's favorite part was "in the maze".  She spent prob ably 15 minutes, and it was only a small little one.  She said she liked it because, "she had to find someone, and the teachers were sneaky!"  Anna really liked the corn box, so daddy spent quite a bit of time sitting there!

We have plenty to praise God for; lovely weather for a pumpkin picking day!

trails and cranes

Since the weather has been absolutely spoiling us lately we decided to take advantage of it and head to Tippecanoe River State Park near Winamac to do some hiking.  Then we drove over to the Jasper-Pulaski Wildlife Area near San Pierre.  They have an observation tower to watch the Sandhill Cranes that stop on their migration toward the South.  We thoroughly enjoyed our day and the lovely weather that we are having...maybe we'l l have to hit the beach this week if it keeps it up!

We have plenty to praise God for; the blessing of this warm, wonderful weather.

fire up

For Maria's first field trip we headed to the fire station. We walked since it was such a beautiful day. The kids enjoyed checking out the firetrucks and the ambulance.

 The firetruck
Seeing what the cab is like.
Looking up at the tall attic ladder that the Chief was showing them.
Maria and her buddy took the "hold hands" direction very seriously, they hardly left each other's side.
 Checking out the ambulance.
Thanks Chief Grover and the crew for showing the kids around.

We have plenty to praise God for; wonderful weather for our first field trip!  October sure is spoiling us.

Changes

What silly girls...notice that Anna is now facing the front like the rest of us.  She feels like such a big girl now.

 Chewing on their feet.
 Pre-trim
The back was a bit scraggly, since she has never had a trim at all...at 3 1/2 we thought it was time.
Thank you Winnie-the-Pooh for helping make this haircut a bit easier!

A wee bit nicer looking and hardly any length taken off.

P.S.  Happy Birthday Ryan!  We love you.

France Park

We met some friends in Logansport to hike around France Park.  We had a great time.

 Buddies!

One of her happier moments in the carrier.  She was one tired little girl that refused to succomb to sleep!
