Royle visit

We went to visit our friends last weekend that we hadn't seen in 4 years, ironically when their youngest was a brand new baby.  Now their 3rd and youngest turned 1, so we thought it about time to head that way.  It was a three hour trip, but the girls handled it relatively well.  We enjoyed visiting and seeing the kids play together like they were old friends.  I stayed up till 1am chatting with my friend Rachel.  It reminded me of times in Ecuador(we lived with the same family while we were both there) when we would sit in the kitchen and talk way too late while eating a snack.  We hope that it doesn't take another 4 years till we see them again!

Too bad we didn't line them up in age order, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

We have plenty to praise; friends we enjoy visiting even after 4 years apart.

5 years of sunshine

She picked a rainbow "theme".  SO I pulled out my Ecuadorian tablecloth, and put up a row of rainbow balloons.
I think she liked it.  And very appropriate that our "sunshine" would choose a rainbow theme, since it takes sunshine with the rain to make a rainbow.

We went to the indoor bouncy house along with two friends for her "party"  We stopped to get McD's ice cream afterwards.
 Anna had fun too!
She loves these two girls...how she'll miss them when we move.

The skittles helped me make a rainbow cake.
And the layers turned out nicely.  I used mainly fruit to color it, not as vibrant, but not so much food dye.

The best things to play with aren’t toys…notice the “town” of recycling items, plus the picnic in the background.  Maria and Joshua had a nice time playing with the train, where she had set up a town, complete with a zoo.

We have plenty to praise God for; family celebrations.

We visited my sister just after her birthday.  Here is Aunt Michele opening Maria's present...

Anna loves Uncle Jeff; she was teaching him how to properly play this instrument.
At the park in Greencastle.
