Run Larry Run

Well, this is a bit belated, but better late than never, right? Larry and I went down to Indy last weekend, May 2. He ran the Mini-Marathon on Saturday morning along with a friend, and his sister. It is his third time running; last year he didn't run because we had a 2 week old at the time. He didn't quite meet his goal, but did decent. In the picture is Matthew and baby Peter, Emily and baby Joshua, Larry and baby Maria. All are within 6 weeks age of each other.

We were also able to celebrate Peter's first birthday on Saturday after the race. Maria and Peter had such a good time playing together. It was impossible to get a good picture of the two of them...since they are both walking, one or both was always on the move. But I got some very cute pictures of Peter anyway!

We have plenty to praise God for; awesome friends with built in playmates for Maria

yum, yum

Maria is sure getting into eating just about anything we have...well, on certain days. But she really loved this spaghetti, can you tell? How can you not love a face like that!

We have plenty to praise God for; good food.

Happy Mother's Day

Meme

Jen tagged me for a meme, so here goes...sorry I could only think of 5 to tag.

Here are the rules...
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
5. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
6. Let your tagger know when your entry is up.

Here are my random things:
1. I cannot stand going to bed with dirty feet, I have to wash up for bed.
2. I have always wanted to play the piano, but I don't think it is a very ideal time in my life to start.
3. Whenever a Hallmark movie is on I have to watch it, even for just the commercials, they always make me cry.
4. I have eaten 'cuy', which is Spanish for guinea pig...it really did taste like chicken, what little meat there was on the scrawny, little thing. (by the way it was while I was in Ecuador)
5. I don't enjoy shopping at all...I love having new things, but hate the actual act of shopping.
6. I have 3 best friends, two I have known since preschool and the other since 7th grade!

Now I'm tagging Rachel, Anna, Krista, Michele, and Barbara.

Enjoying the day

Maria was enjoying the warm, sunny weather outside so much I had to have a photo shoot.

Mischievious is my middle name...

Look what I can get into when no one is looking! Maybe I will try my hand at baking.

I bet Dad will never find these markers in his shoes.
