October

We took the girls to a family fall festival a couple weeks back.  They had fun petting the animals and later we went on a hay ride.
 See that excitement.
Nothing as fun as jumping in a pile of leaves, maybe sliding into them is a bit more fun!
Anna wore an old costume of mine to her fall party at school, it's one my mom made me.
See me, all the way over on the left, don't you love my mismatched shoes too! For those who know my brother Andrew, he's the clown looking right at the camera with the white knit cap on, mom made that costume too!

Strike

We took the girls bowling on Fri. in lieu of trick-or-treating.  So, we took dress up for them to wear.
Watching in anticipation.

Three cute girls!
Their 1st bowling experience.
They loved it...except when Maria dropped a ball on her toe.
SO happy with herself.
The girls were so crazy, can we say tired.  Who needs bowling when you can spin and roll around on the floor.
Forever friends are the best friends.
His attempt to block my picture of him, and he ordered me to delete it after I took it.

Can you tell Anna is SO tired...at least they both fell asleep on the way home and didn't fully wake when we carried them up to bed.
We have plenty to praise God for; fun with friends!

carving the pumpkins

Maria wanted her to be scary with mean sharp teeth, Anna's is the typical happy face!

We have plenty to praise God for; two girls willing to get into the guts!

Hollowed Days

We didn't actually go trick-or-treating tonight, our week was already full enough with activities, and we had plenty of candy, especially now with the left overs since we only had 5 trick-or-treaters.  And to start it off right, Anna was spooked by the first two kids, who were dressed as Freddy Krueger and the Scream mask ghost.  Hopefully we don't have any nightmares!
After a couple of other ideas, Maria decided on Madeline for her costume.  I have to say, it turned out pretty cute!  She happened to have the dress, and I found the hat for $1.50 at the thrift store, not too bad, huh?
Last weekend we went to a church Fall Fest, and the girls had a great time.  Then later in the week Maria went trick-or-treating with preschool, and finally on Friday we headed to the library for their party.  SO by the time Sunday rolled around, we I was done.  Anna dressed up as Genevieve, the dog that is in the Madeline series.  We just used some brown clothes that we had, and gave her a leash.

In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines
lived twelve little girls in two straight lines
They left the house at half past nine
The smallest one was Madeleline

ooo la la...

Maria doing her dog imitation.

Isn't that tail cute?

Well, Maria was Fifi the poodle for Halloween...although we only went to about 10 houses. We just wanted to dress her up in this cute costume I made Friday afternoon for only $3. She enjoyed making her dog imitation, panting with her tongue sticking out. We got to eat some yummy chocolate after we got back...ah, the joys of parenthood!

Enjoying some loot!
We have plenty to praise God for; an oh-so-cute poodle!
