school days

We received Anna's preschool pictures today, and I may be biased, but I do think we have the cutest girls ever!

And them I had to get Maria's preschool pictures and compare the two. Definitely sisters! 

And then I realized that I don't think I ever posted Maria's school picture this year. 

We have plenty to praise God for; the blessing of these two beautiful girls, inside and out.

She had a good first day, talked about doing calendar, singing, having snack(our day!) and playing on the playground.
We have plenty to praise God for; our smart, funny, loving little girl who's growing up so quickly!

random days

 We had a pajama day and I pulled out some motor skill activities that had been floating around in my head for a while.  It kept them occupied for quite a while, and left me able to complete my kitchen tasks of baking bread, making bagels, zuchinni bread and doing some laundry!  Pajama days rock!

Maria was using a stick to pick up some beads, they also used measuring cups to scoop and pour the beads, the metal bowl gave great sound effects.

 Using clothespins to clip/slip on the edge.  Maria did the clip kind, Anna worked on the old fashioned slip on kind.

 Using a pair of craft tweezers, she transferred the craft puffs to the opposite bowl.
There was also a tray of craft sticks to sort by color.

Don't even ask, we don't know why she was doing this, but it really reminded me of the character, Mushmouth, on Fat Albert.
That's our randomness for today!

Preschool Graduate

Maria is officially done with Junior Preschool.  She has had a wonderful year with the best teachers.  We plan on homeschooling her from this point on.  Here are some pics from her first and last day and graduation.

This is a picture on the first day last fall, and a picture from this week.  Look at how she has changed, her scrapbook said she grew two inches!

 

 The last day of school they took a trip to Hawaii, so they had to wear their suits.  I think Maria was actually believing that they were going to fly there!

We have plenty to praise God for; a little girl who loves to learn!

Preschool program

Maria had her preschool program last night.  They Junior class sang three songs and then the Senior class also had some songs to sing.  The video is a bit dark, but you can see her really singing.  We weren't sure if she would participate or be shy.  She did have some practice from the pageant at church.

We had Maria's preschool conference, oh, yes, conferences for preschool...when did they start doing those?  Anyway, if they had a preschool honor roll she would probably be on it! ;)  She had a checkmark in every area and knew her colors and shapes.  We are so happy that she LOVES going to preschool!  We also are pretty convinced she is the cutest preschooler ever!  Just look at that smile.

For Maria's first field trip we headed to the fire station. We walked since it was such a beautiful day. The kids enjoyed checking out the firetrucks and the ambulance.
