Notice the M donut made especially for Maria
Seems that each trip to the library produces a favorite book for Maria. This time she really likes The Donut Chef by Bob Staake. It is a cute story with great pictures. I was inspired to make donuts with her as a result. We also made a felt donut, which she looks like she is ready to devour in the picture. She also requested me to make a doll that looked like the girl in the story. I can't say my final result, from this pattern, was exactly like the girl, but it is a doll! The donuts, which we made with this recipe, were baked, and turned out...okay. But they weren't fried, so a bit healthier, right?

How fun! We can't tell if the doll looked like the girl because you didn't give us a pic to compare to. :) ha ha! Also, now I want the recipe for donuts! Probably won't have time to try them or just won't, but maybe if they look easy I will! Oh, just saw the link...duh! :) Your girls are precious as always.
